You Burnout? You're Not Making It Up.

The chronic psychological stress that characterizes burnout. Not only impairs people's personal lives, their social functioning, it can also overwhelm their cognitive skills. The neuroendocrine systems eventually lead to distinctive changes in the anatomy and function of the brain. When I am perpetually stressed, my brain and my body, its system relative to cortisol, right? Cortisol is our stress hormone that it stays high. That's what creates the tipping point for longer term, longer range system problems internally.
