The Relationship Between Brady and Maira

Brady had an established way of drawing someone into his world of depravity. He would typically recommend all sorts of literature to read and then move to more erotic, such as the Marcus D'Asad's The Misfortunes of Virtue States. As well as this, Brady would often play David tapes of Hitler's speeches and then rant his racist hatred to him - especially after a few drinks. After the death of his daughter, there was a change in David who was lost, who was vulnerable, and looking for meaning. And it appears that as soon as Brady saw this vulnerability, he set about exploiting it. Nowadays, I guess we'd call this behaviour grooming.
