Using a GPU in a Data Center Environment?

We're currently using AMD EPIC platforms. They have lots of PCIe lanes and lots of memory channels. So that lets you get data from your network to your GPU very quickly. Advantages such as direct memory addressing and other such things, I forget all the terminology now. It's something that we've got an eye on, but we haven't got a usable hardware prototype at this point.
