The Effect of Quantum Fluctuations on Quantum Spectra
We need quantum fluctuations at the Planck scale. And those quantum fluctuations have to accumulate into the infrared. There are various ways that we can see it actually coming out in a quite broad range of theories where we can just write down some general properties of the theory, and then pray through it and we see this effect come out. We think it's pretty generic. Wonderful. So why can't existing in a chrometer's light Lego which is already very, very precise. Why can't it see signatures of this quantum fluctuation? Well, we actually think that Lego is not very far from being able to see it.
