How Did You Come to Write a Book About Ice?

How did you come to write a book about ice? Well, basically what happened was I hadn't really thought about it as a topic to write about. And my wife's a cookery writer and cookery teacher. She asked me to help out and make some cocktails for the customers in London. As I was shaking up these drinks, I happened to remark that if you don't have ice, you can't really have a cocktail. One of the punters said prove it. And basically, that's what I've set out to try and do.
