What Is Syncretism?
According to legend, there were about 70 translators that translated the Hebrew Bible from Hebrew into Greek in 72 days. This is a time period where the Jews are struggling because their religious ideas are kind of butting up against Hellenistic thought. And so they know that to preserve their religion, they're going to need to incorporate these Greek ideas.
