Kafka is a durable log, because it was built to handle the volume of information. If you need something like Mac per message, Kafka's not going to do that for you. You're the one who has to tell it when you've received those messages and when it's ready to move on. We do that via offsets. So in that case, you would say like Kafka is not your jam.
