Canada's 1982 constitutional amendment enshrines in the Constitution that the rights of indigenous peoples include traditional use of land hunting, fishing and et cetera. The government ended up putting a pause on a wide swath of both forestry and oil and gas development to say, okay, now we need to come up with an agreement with these first nations. So you essentially have now a co governance model where development won't take place without the approval of the first nations. That is a big step forward from what we've had in Canada before, which was a project by project view.
