The Effects of Retinol on Rosacea
When these triggers happen, somebody who has rosacea will get flushing. But even people who don't have rosacea might flush from drinking a glass of wine or going in the sun. In those patients, these triggers actually initiate a flare of rosacea which can persist for days. For example, you've started a retinol and now your skin is chronically pink and dry. That's what rosacea may look like. It's actually just a chemical, you know, a sensitivity to a product.
