What Is a Psychedelic?

Dr. Garcia-Rameo: The term psychedelic was actually coined by a psychiatrist named Humphrey Osman back in 1957. He and the British author Humphrey Osmond were trying to figure out, how do we call these drugs as more accurate representation of their effects? Huxley had been famously written about his experience with Mescalin in a book called The Doors of Perception.
