Is There a Funding Mechanism to Addressing Inequalities in Science?
The two thousand dollars was basically used to offset costs in regions that couldn't volunteer all their resources. In many world regions, you have to pay a relatively large see to have an ethics review board review your research proposal. And so we would send those labs a small chunk of our money and say, please use this to get esthecs approval to help us with data collection. But whal most people were doing as they were volunteering their lab space,. They were volunteering their participants, and they were volunteering nor research assistant to help contribute to this study. i think they were doing it because they saw that this was going to be an important scientific contribution - but at some point you have to address
