Is It Possible That Competitors Watch Each Other at a Competitive Market?

There was a boost on LinkedIn from competing vendor B that was basically claiming that they were, they did some tests running a workload in SQL on their database. And then obviously both of the things are too good to be true. How is it possible that in this market where vendors watch each other at a technology can certainly be a factor 500 to 60,000 more price effective? So, yeah, that's a good example that you can easily be tricked right? That you think like, oh, it's really this much faster. Let's go for this and just do a proof of concept"
