The Importance of Objectification in Relationships
When he was in Japan, I didn't really consider myself to be a cool person. People would expect me to be this cool British foreigner and inside I felt awkward and geeky. Maybe the girl that I was seeing had this objectified idea of what I was. She may have expected me to be cool in some way but then when my behavior, my real foreign behavior started happening, she didn't really know how to handle it.
