If all your token does is to provide short term financial upside, you actually attract the speculators rather than the long term users. But i don't want to discount speculation as a really powerful new force. It also turns those participants into an believers. They feel like insiders, and they're ready to defend the platform. And that's the thing that matters, is that fervent community. I think it's going to create more new networks that had previously never existed.
