Russia has started to hand out Russian passports, for example, in occupied areas. They're really putting pressure on locals, giving them no choice really but to take a Russian passport. The currency has been changed. The rubles have been introduced. All Ukrainian products are now sold in stores. And notably, none of these things that you just told us about involve killing people.
Russia is paying teachers big bucks to teach a pro-Kremlin curriculum in Ukraine. It’s part of a campaign to formally annex occupied Ukraine into the Russian Federation.
