The Invasion of the Capitol
The looting started yesterday a few hours after several memorial services for Dr Martin Luther King. Paratroopers and Marines moved into the riot area north of the Capitol. At this point on the west side, about three miles from downtown, 11 major fires burned out of control. During the night, more than 250 fires were reported by the fire department.
