The New York Dolls Embrace Communism

The New York Dolls were an important proto punk band and with Johnny Thunder they were just great songwriters but it was way too early. They hired Malcolm McLaren pre-sex pistols and his idea was to put them in tight red leather and put a giant communist flag behind them. Leonard Cohen makes a record with legendary producer gun toting psychopath Phil SpectorYeah I was torn about this one because I like that record even though I know it's a disasterbut Leonard's take on it was so funny.
