Jacobs, who was entering the final year of his rookie contract, had been seeking a long-term extension from the Raiders, but the two sides could not reach an agreement. Jacobs decided to end his holdout and report to the team before the start of the regular season. Jacobs is one of the best young running backs in the league and led the Raiders in rushing yards and touchdowns last year.
