How to Stand Up for Yourself in the Face of Change
Deepa: I think Gina's example is so beautiful because the question I get is how do I stand up for myself? How can you advocate for yourself that isn't going to make people call you aggressive, right? Or too over the top? She recommends taking some time that day to physically write down what you would have liked to say in the moment. Deepa encouraged women of color to be ready when faced with inappropriate comments at work. Next week she'll offer advice on the importance of bringing our full selves to work.
