Exports of ready-made garments from Bangladesh have more than doubled still going up. Some Bangladesh's on track to become like a sort of like middle-income country pretty soon. So quite possibly things have gotten materially better, but this is still very much the sharp end of international capitalism. The real shit remains activists on the ground.
