Is There a Race-Neutral Criteria for High School Admission?
David Bianculli: The goal is to make criteria which work to address past inequalities without making race an explicit criterion. But when there's pushback on TJ because their methods excludes quote, more qualified students, those words betray a default back to measurement of students that assumes a prior level playing field.
