The Importance of Primary Caregivers in Alzheimer's

In this category of disease, there is typically a primary caregiver. So somebody who's much more hands on with the person who has Alzheimer's. And so in my family, that was my father until my mother was moved into a care home a couple of years ago. To expect that the person who is in the throes of being the primary caregiver is simultaneously engaging in all of that work, plus maintaining their income, their regular life, plus moving through conscious grieving is too much.
