My soldiers from the 9th Division hated the South Vietnamese soldiers more than they did the Viet Cong. They saw them going out on operations and not beating the enemy, but avoiding the enemy. My battalion could go all the way through the same area and come back bloodied and battered. It's also about bad leadership.
