The Heidelberg Catechism
The Heidelberg Catechism is a collection of questions and answers that was commissioned maybe in 1562 or so. We were with them on the Reformation basics of justification and salvation by grace alone through faith alone. But we were farther away from Lutheran orthodoxy as it came to exist in the 1550s and 60s than even in the 1540s. Calvin certainly believed that he was essentially with Luther on the supper, not exactly on every point but that the supper is more than a remembrance and less than a Eucharistic sacrifice.
