Imran Khan was first approached by left-in general Majibir Rahman in the 80s. Zayal Hux colleagues like former DJI Saya Hamid Ghul groomed Imran Khan to get him into politics. When Project Musharraf wrapped up and democracy was restored with the Charter of Democracy signed, PPP and PMLN needed a third force. It is only a year later that Imran Khan's movement to de-seat the prime minister over allegations of Dantli claims began truly taking hold.
