The Deed Revelation of Christ's Resurrection
Paul was not interested in offering the resurrection as an isolated factual occurrence to be neutrally reasoned about. He understands the resurrection of Christ in terms of its redemptive historical framework and this is key. At no point does Paul entertain the resurrection as a brute fact. That is as a fact that exists independent of the being, the knowledge, the decree and the history of the covenant supplied by the Triune God. The revelation setting is inherently covenantal, Trinitarian and eschatological - it is this that invests the evidence of the resurrection with its covenant historical function.
