Introduction
Gandhi's Hindswaraj made the case for Indian independence, but also for a completely new way of doing politics. Ghandi was a lawyer and he trained to be a lawyer in London. He thought and expressed ideas that are just as far removed from many of the rationalist, mechanical, modern ideas which run through his work.
