Aquinas says that the wills aren't opposed to each other. The human will is naturally repulsed by death but who gave the wisdom that human will it was the divine to begin with, right? So there's that perfect harmony there between the divine and the human wills. It's really no different than the prophets who are inspired and moved by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. And so safeguard the truth of divine revelation we've got to find ways of talking about these things.
