The Role of Peter Douglas in the Case of Kurt Flood

Douglas was famously rude, especially to his clerks. One of those women was actually writing her college thesis on his Supreme Court jurisprudence at the time that they met. Douglas is explicitly pointing out the twisted irony of Blackman's majority opinion. He lists these players as if to sort of highlight the long and storied history of the game.
