Quantum Gravitation

If space and physical things around us sort of piclated in a way thoure discreet, then it would sort of make sense for time to also be piclated. But i guess the universe doesn't care about what or our opinion of it. So what are simply, i guess, more physically robust arguments for or against time pitulation? And so it turns out that when you drill down into very small time and the very small space, what you do as you run into questions about how gravity works.
