The Importance of Irish American History
Nilo Dowd is an Irish-American journalist who first moved to the US in the 1970s on a student visa. He overstayed that visa and for a few years lived as an undocumented immigrant. It was at that time he launched his own Irish American newspaper, The Irishman. His work has gone on to produce new outlets, Irish Central, Irish America and the Irish Voice.
