China Writer - Is There a Need for Writing to Serve a Purpose?
The problem seems to be more for the generations after them, who are really struggling to find a voice in this new ascendant china. I feel like they have spent a long time honing their craft, figuring out what they feel about a their past,. Their work is entirely unique to them, really. It feels like prior to yen, and prior to the 19 forties, there was that real sense of that burden, you know, for national salvation or national enlightenment. Andto not have taken up that mantle would have sort of marked to you as frivolous.
