The Promise of the Life of Jacob
In Hebrew, yabok is another pun on the verb for wrestle. God renames Jacob and Jacob renames the place. When he arrives, it's called jabak. And jabak, the place of wrestling, becomes pineal, which means face of God. Our lives are not intended to be strife-free or unwounded by life. We're called to wrestle with men so that we can become strong enough to prevail with God.
