The Heeled Fracture
It's a two million year old leg bone, and it has all the hall marks of something walking on two legs. So we know it's from an ancestor of ours. This particular leg bone has preserved along its shaft a heeled fracture. They made it itand i can't imagine how that could have happened unless this individual had assistance. It's telling us about sociality, maybe even, to some degree, care and compassion and ampathy in our ancestors.
