"We didn't really know anything about video games right we had no like experience except I'd program games I played them and stuff but it would have helped to have somebody who had done things in the industry before as opposed to us which were just like hey let's start a game company okay how hard could it be?" "I'm convinced the hardest time in history to start a video game company like almost to the month because previously games had been 2d right now with uh so 1996 beginning of 96 was when quake quake test came out. We were basically fully running quake but without all the levels and stuff they were just doing like a multiplayer beta," he said, referring to Quake 3D.
