The Dyok People of Donesia
Most of our story takes place in four cities, sambas and mantrato in the north, and mandor and pantiana in the south. Roads were few, and the main means of transport in this land of a thousand rivers was on the many waterways that took you from the coast to the centre of the thick jungles and mountains inland. The dyok people were the oppressed indigenous people of our story. They were there first, followed by the malays, and then in 15 95, the dutch came a calling, looking for spices. And they ended up sticking around in donesia for 350 years.
