What Are You Saying About Waiting Lists in General Practice?
Practices have been responding to sustained heavy pressure by falling back on MA guidance. But several GPs I spoke to said that one of the changes we could see more of because of these new access requirements is waiting lists in general practice. One GP called it a whack-a-mole approach where you clamp down on the problem in one place only for it to pop up again elsewhere. And ultimately, this is the problem with a requirement like this that hasn't been backed up with resources to deliver it.
