The draft of the EU's new data protection law requires companies to have a representative on the ground in Europe who can carry out one-hour takedowns. But it also means they must build up, you know, filters and report annually to local authorities about what their filtering measures are. "It seems hard to rationalize why it would still be worth it to have to allow anyone in the EU to visit the site," he says.
