The art market is looking to abandon the elete status it's spent centuries cultivating, says David Vernon. A platform like plat gives young galleries that have a harder time reaching large audiences an easier way to present their work. There are other more legitimate efforts to treat art as an asset class such as master works which has been valued at over one billion dollars.
