What Kinds of Humor Work Well in Books?
Puns are a very intellectual form of humor, no matter what some people might say. A good third of the humor in those books is that exact joke done again an again in different and interesting way. Ellipses are your friend, so are m dashes. Your home work is to take something that you have written before and make it funny. Draw out what it is that you can exaggerate, make absurd.
