Introduction

On September 27th, Black in the newsroom, a 15-minute film produced by Media 2070 received the best documentary award for short films at the Detroit Black Film Festival. The murder of George Floyd in 2020 sparked a national debate about race in America that included media companies examining the diversity of their staff. We're also joined by Collette Watson, who's the vice president of cultural strategy for Free Press and co-creator of Media 2070.
