Varya first began to appreciate the uniqueness of Soviet-era artwork when she started traveling for a living. When we first spoke, she was living in Singapore, working for Twitter and today, she's living in Dublin, working for Facebook. Varya: One of my favorite examples is corn. In the 1960s, the leader of the Soviet Union Nikita Khrushchev had this utopian idea of planting corn across the Soviet Union.
