Antitrust Law in the US and World History
Modern antitrust law in the US and abroad was developed largely against Standard Oil. So this concentration of unaccountable, abusive economic and political power in one hugely powerful octopus proved very concerning to politicians and judges. But I'm going to suggest that this destructive power of monopolies is not a news story in US or world history. We've already gone into it but I'll go into this first section which is a brief little overview of antitrust. So and then I'll go on to talk about these next stages.
