The Startup Operator

CHAPTER

Why Indian Startups Consider Listing Outside the Country

A lot of Indian startups that had their headquarters abroad are now considered to shift it back to India. The International Financial Services Centre Authority or the IFSCA has set up an expert committee to encourage Indian fintech startups, domiciled abroad to relocate to India. Some of the companies that have shown interest in doing so include a phone pay, they've decided to move the domicile in India after paying a billion dollars in tax. Other companies such as razor pay, grow and pine labs are also expressed interest in doing the same. What I'm hearing and what I read is that it takes anywhere between 100 to 200 million dollars for them to do this whole flip.
