New York State's Licensing Regime for Gun Ownership
New York state has had a licensing regime for gun ownership since 19 11. The law required some basic stuff that you see with a lot of licensing regimes. For everyone else, and the vast majority of people in new york, you would have to satisfy the eligibility criteria. And on top of that, like peter said, show proper cause for why you should be issued a license.
