The Importance of Goals in Football

In the first World Cup final in 1930, Uruguay and Argentina couldn't agree on the size of bowl to use. There was no official size to the ball at that time. A football goal is twice as wide as a hockey goal, but the ball three times larger. FIFA did talk about widening the goals a few years ago because they were trying to get Americans interested into soccer.
