Is This Hungatella Associated With Heart Disease?
Hungatella is from a study that I've talked about before, which was a TMAO study. When they come into contact with carnitine that you find in red meat, TMAO has been associated with increased risk of heart disease and depression. And there was a study a few years ago done in Australia where people who were eating a paleobased diet produced more hungatella. So now we're sort of connecting the dots here. Once again, this is a bacteria that is associated with depression, but also associated with increasedrisk of heart disease.
