The Mythic Stage of Religious Development
The mythic stage of growing up is where a lot of humanity was at that time. And so you have something like the Old Testament, where most is party the Red Sea and lots white is turning to a pillar of salt. Many of them can be produced by a seven year old child today. But fundamentalist religious texts around the world are either magic or mythic. So they tend to keep their spiritual intelligence at this mythic literal level.
