The Lighthouse Score

Leno Corvan worked with John Greenwidarch on the score for The Lighthouse. He says he listened to stock cows when his son was a baby and it helped him get into the character of Furlik, who is played by Tom Hiddleston in the film. When they were trying to decide how much weird would add to the movie's tension, corvan asked himself: "When is strange adding to the tension?" And that led them to have more traditional strings rather than attona horns which matched the look of the film.
