The Hard Problem of Consciousness

physics gives us the basic maths. I think Hoffman thinks there's gonna be deeper maths. My view of physics is the basic maths, but consciousness fills out that basic maths. Even if this is consistent with modern science, even if we can't disprove it empirically, as Hossenfeld tries to do, why should we take it seriously? Why should we think this is true? As he said, addressing the hard problem of consciousness is a philosophical issue. We've just got to look at the various models for explaining how consciousness goes along with brain activity. What explains that? And broadly speaking, here are the three theories. One, materialism, that consciousness emerges from physics.
